The reason why you chose the shoot:
I’m normally a closeted introvert, like to be seen and attentive to others but have many insecurities that I’ve been working on about my body image. After having 3 c-sections each with 60lb weight gains left my body less than how I started before giving birth.
What made me chose Grey?
I saw a pole dance class mates IG photo session and was in awe. The confidence and elegance was so empowering and I said “why not”. I need to be in the space of loving myself more even in my most vulnerable state, perfectly flawed and all and Grey captured it well.
Thoughts on going into the session:
At first I was a bit shy and nervous. This was the first time of my being nude in front of someone that wasn’t connected to me romantically. My immediate thoughts is that someone will now see that part of my body that could not be concealed.
Thoughts during the session:
It didn’t take too long for me to get into the zone and begin to appreciate both of what I was being offered through this session. It was one of the safest, non invasive environment, the vibe was right. By the time we got to the kink session I really began to loosen up and let go. Looking back it was all easier than I realized and that it was really time to let go and just be free.
Thoughts after the session:
I felt like I met my new bestie! And would love the opportunity to work with Grey again on just something random.
Would you recommend this experience to a friend?
Absolutey and I have. Everyone should get naked with Grey at least once.

Thoughts after the session:
Liberated. I am very self-critical, but after the session with Grey and seeing the photos from our shoot, I am learning to love myself as I am and I am very content with that!

I haven’t had any experience like this before. But I imagine if I had, it would not come close to comparing my shoot with Grey because I do not know of any other photographer doing what Grey does!

The reason why you chose the shoot:
I admired the photos of all the models on Grey’s Instagram Page. All the women looked so comfortable and he captured their joy and fun...the pictures truly create a story for me to imagine and create. I am a nudist and I want to change the way people feel about their naked bodies and one of the ways I do that is by showing my joy being nude. Grey really captures my many moods.
Thoughts on going into the session:
I hoped I could dance and move around. I really wanted to feel safe, and free to create different shapes and looks in front of the camera. Movement is very important to me. It helps me to look expressive in my photos. I was also thinking about the top 5-10 poses I wanted to do and how to explain them to Grey. Finally when I thought about the wait period for my pictures. I also thought about some logistical things since I didn’t know Grey personally, I wanted to know his experience and how long he had been a photographer and why.
Thoughts during the session:
During the shoot, I thought about the space and location. I wanted privacy, safety, and cleanliness. The studio was all those things. I also hoped the temperature was comfortable and could be adjusted because my temperature changes and I didn’t want to sweat too much. I wanted to know where the bathroom was and how long the shoot would take, and any other technical or logistics I wanted to be explained thoroughly and professionally before we started. I also was happy Grey was a communicator and explained the shoot and what I could expect.
Thoughts after the session:
After the session Grey says when you might expect to see some photos and it is a professional ending to the shoot. No dinner, drinks or any other prompts to connect after the shoot is done and I really appreciate the professionalism. Photoshoots can bring up some emotions and big increases in adrenaline Grey has a calm demeanor that ripples to his models.

If you have had opportunities like this before what made shooting with GREY different:
He’s there but he’s not, so he catches everything. All my different expressions and nuances...he really captures me. I never feel overwhelmed or like he’s lost even though I’m having the time of my life. He creates a container for me to play as he takes the photographs! He also knows technique, and has the technical skills to understand how to take an amazing shot. He knows lighting and especially how to shoot women of color, every angle is perfect.

The reason why you chose the shoot:
I had been a freelance model for 4 years already when Grey reached out to me for a shoot. In the past, most photographers that I had worked with would edit all my perceived body "flaws". When I saw Grey's work, I knew immediately that I wanted to shoot with him. What I saw in his work was honest, raw, and beautiful. It was art.
Thoughts on going into the session:
I was a little nervous becsuse I knew there would be less editing of my body than I was use to. I knew I'd see myself as me and not as society expects me to be as a model.
Thoughts during the session:
I was immediately comfortable with Grey. His professionalism was truely like no other photographer I had ever worked with. He made me feel at ease and soon enough we were both laughing and enjoying the experience.
Thoughts after the session:
I was proud of myself for pushing out of my normal comfort zone. The images were beautiful and I saw the real me in his captures. It helped change the direction of my modeling to begin focusing on more artistic and creative work.

Definitely! It was such a fun and empowering process. Everyone should shoot with Grey!

Shooting with Grey was different because he saw and captured the real me. I wasn't just putting on my modeling face, but letting my guard down for him to see me.
